Today, many people in places in the world celebrate Fat Tuesday or Marti Gras. It is usually marked with parades, exchaning of beads and lots and lots of food ... all in preparation of the beginning of Lent.
For me, Lent has always been a time in which I spring clean my "interior house". ... Ya know .. washing windows, curtains, drapes ... etc. In reality, it is a time of spiritual renewal. Through fasting, prayer and almsgiving (usually time), the relationship between my God and I deepens. It is indeed a journey, a journey of love. I invite you to journey with me during this Lent.
